Porirua Multicultural Council (PMC) Tertiary Student Grants 2026 – Now Open!
Are you a returning tertiary student from an ethnic migrant or former refugee background with ties to Porirua?
The Porirua Multicultural Council (PMC) is offering TWO grants worth $3,000 each!
These grants aim to support returning tertiary students from ethnic migrant and former refugee backgrounds who maintain strong ties to Porirua, helping them achieve their educational and career goals while giving back to their community.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be from ethnic migrant or former refugee backgrounds
- Must be a returning student (not first year) currently enrolled full-time in a tertiary institution
- Must have a strong connection to Porirua (resides in Porirua, even if currently living elsewhere for study)
- Must demonstrate commitment to community
What you’ll receive
- A total grant of $3,000 paid in two increments
- One-on-one mentorship with community professionals
- Networking opprtunities
